Delicious Time Meating The Cheese

I just recently planned a lunch trip to Meat The Cheese with my friends. Now, it’s not an easy decision for us to make when choosing where to go because there are a lot of factors that come into play in making the experience worthwhile and something to look fondly back to. Apart from the food, we also prioritize the atmosphere, the ambiance, the aesthetics, etc.

In my opinion, the restaurant itself was quite small with a very limited amount of tables; a lot of the newcomers were asked to wait outside, which was also not very roomy as their outside was also limited in space. Other than that, the interior was quite pleasing. The tables and chairs were comfortable and they had a gigantic window with plenty of beautiful sunlight coming through. As we had the table right in front of this window, we enjoyed taking handfuls of pictures and selfies, which, to be quite honest, came out amazing and ended up being posted all over our social media platforms!

Now, on to the food. As a starter, we ordered the cheesy mushroom fries, which were super cheesy with plenty of sauce. There were five of us and one of that bowl of fries, which was wiped clean at the end. I expected that we would have to wait a while for our main courses to be ready, as is the case in most restaurants, but boy was I wrong! Our main courses were brought to our table nearly ten minutes after we were done with the appetizer. This, although not that big of a deal for many, made me really happy.

Our main courses consisted of the deep fried pride, mac n’ cheese and Alfredo pasta. The deep fried pride was a deep fried chicken fillet with cheese inside it, laying in the middle of a sea of three different kinds of cheese. The chicken was so tender and soft and although it was deep fried, it did not seem too oily or greasy. The cheese sauce was so good, I ate it with a spoon when I was done with the chicken! The Alfredo pasta was heavenly and by far the best pasta I have ever tried in all of Karachi! It was so creamy and full of taste; I had one bite and quite literally almost melted into my seat with euphoria. The pasta was topped with small fillets of chicken, which were cooked and seasoned to perfection. They were so soft, tender and tasted amazing. The mac n’ cheese was also so cheesy and creamy, topped with the same chicken fillets as the pasta. For dessert, we ordered their molten lava cake, which was on the house thanks to their offer where if you order three main courses, you get a dessert for free. The lava cake was simply delicious. By the end, our stomachs may have been full but our hearts definitely were not.

Now, I know Meat The Cheese is known for its specialty of cheese but I was definitely not expecting to be THIS blown away with amazement. As soon as we were done with our food, we were discussing plans to come back here again as soon as possible. Although we each had to chip in roughly around Rs. 1500, it was honestly worth it and I would definitely go back again!

Introduce Yourself (Example Post)

This is an example post, originally published as part of Blogging University. Enroll in one of our ten programs, and start your blog right.

You’re going to publish a post today. Don’t worry about how your blog looks. Don’t worry if you haven’t given it a name yet, or you’re feeling overwhelmed. Just click the “New Post” button, and tell us why you’re here.

Why do this?

  • Because it gives new readers context. What are you about? Why should they read your blog?
  • Because it will help you focus you own ideas about your blog and what you’d like to do with it.

The post can be short or long, a personal intro to your life or a bloggy mission statement, a manifesto for the future or a simple outline of your the types of things you hope to publish.

To help you get started, here are a few questions:

  • Why are you blogging publicly, rather than keeping a personal journal?
  • What topics do you think you’ll write about?
  • Who would you love to connect with via your blog?
  • If you blog successfully throughout the next year, what would you hope to have accomplished?

You’re not locked into any of this; one of the wonderful things about blogs is how they constantly evolve as we learn, grow, and interact with one another — but it’s good to know where and why you started, and articulating your goals may just give you a few other post ideas.

Can’t think how to get started? Just write the first thing that pops into your head. Anne Lamott, author of a book on writing we love, says that you need to give yourself permission to write a “crappy first draft”. Anne makes a great point — just start writing, and worry about editing it later.

When you’re ready to publish, give your post three to five tags that describe your blog’s focus — writing, photography, fiction, parenting, food, cars, movies, sports, whatever. These tags will help others who care about your topics find you in the Reader. Make sure one of the tags is “zerotohero,” so other new bloggers can find you, too.
